SRS Symptom Troubleshooting - SRS indicator does not come on

SRS indicator does not come on

NOTE:

	Before doing this troubleshooting procedure, find out if the vehicle was in a collision. If so, verify that all the required components were replaced with new components of the correct part number and were properly installed.
	Before doing this troubleshooting procedure, review SRS Precautions and Procedures and General Troubleshooting Information.

?1.	Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode, then wait for 10 seconds.

?2.	Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then go off.

Does the SRS indicator come on for about 6 seconds and then go off?

Intermittent failure, the vehicle is OK at this time.?

The failure is duplicated. Go to step 2.

Gauge control module check:

?1.	Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

?2.	Connect the HDS to the data link connector (DLC).

?3.	Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.

?4.	Do the gauge control module self-diagnostic function.

Does the SRS indicator blink?

Check for any authorized service information related to the DTCs or symptoms you are troubleshooting or replace the SRS unit.?
